Insulation, fireproofing and concrete lifting services
Three trades, one organized team. Tell us about the project and we will explain which material and service fit.
Wall cavity, spray foamAires Spray Foam & Insulation is a family-owned contractor based in Edmonton and Calgary. Our team installs insulation, applies fireproofing over foam and steel, and lifts sunken concrete across Alberta.
The work splits into three categories: insulation contractor, fire protection service and concrete contractor. Our organized crews follow the same written-scope, quality and safety process across all three.
Not sure which page fits? Call (780) 916-7131 and describe the space. We'll point you to the right material, and sometimes that means telling you foam is overkill.
Spray foam insulation
Closed cell foam is our main product. We spray it in homes, shops, barns, schools, pipelines and shipping containers. Start with the insulation overview if you want the full picture.
Spray foam insulation
What foam is, how a job runs, how it's priced by the board foot, and when it isn't worth the money.

Softer and lighter. Good for interior walls and sound control, not for wet or exposed spaces.

Shipping containers, hunting units, travel vans and trailers. Foam sticks to steel and stops the sweating.

Plenty of older Edmonton houses have thin, packed-down attic insulation. Sometimes it's wet, smoke damaged or full of mouse droppings. We vacuum out what's there, fix the venting and vapour barrier, then blow in fibreglass or cellulose to the depth you need. CEIP projects in Edmonton need the attic to reach at least R-50, and we install to that number.
If your house is older and the attic has grey-brown, pebbly fill, stop there. That could be vermiculite, which can contain asbestos. It has to be tested before anyone disturbs it.

Spray foam left exposed in a shop, barn or commercial space usually needs a thermal or ignition barrier over it. We apply DC315, an intumescent coating that works as a 15-minute thermal barrier and meets IBC, IRC and Canadian NBC requirements. It goes on in a single coat of up to 24 mils wet.
For structural steel, we spray MONOKOTE Z-146, a Portland cement based fireproofing rated up to 4 hours depending on the design. It's used in parking garages, mechanical rooms and exterior areas because it handles freeze and thaw. See the fireproofing overview for how the two compare.

Concrete lifting
A sunken sidewalk or driveway slab doesn't always need to be torn out. We drill small holes, inject polyurethane foam underneath, and the foam expands to fill the voids and lift the slab back to grade. It costs less than tearing out and pouring new, and it's far less disruptive. Start at the concrete lifting overview.
